Got this for backcountry use, minimal class 5 climbing, and ice/snow work. Thus far, seems a great rope. i am using it single, not double, and most belay devices I've tried handle the small diameter including my ATC.I don't plan (I guess no one does) to have any lead falls on it so its limits as a rope are fine. Maybe a few pendulums and a crevasse rescue or two, but mostly as a security measure when the exposure gets dicy. The color is great, and 30m seems enough for my needs. I have longer 11mm ropes when needed, but this one disappears into my pack, coming out only when needed.I hope to test the dry aspects of the rope, but unless this drought gives in, I'll be more worried about UV exposure than water.Great rope, used it for a 4 man team (which turned into a 5 man team, not ideal) to summit rainier 7.20.16. Stayed dry for the most part and what did get wet dried very quickly. I had to swap out my 6mm prusik ropes for 5mm which bit into the rope well. The did not kink and worked well as a glacier rope.We use this rope with a grappling hook to pull damaged limbs out of trees. It stretches enough not to break when pulled hard and released. It is easy on the hands when pulled and strong enough to be tied to a truck when needed. Easy to coil and knot. Can make no statements about it as a climbing rope but it is a good durable rope for our purposes.Good quality for the money. Holds knots well. Needs to be noted this is a Dynamic rope. Not a static rooe.I am already a big Sterling fan and this rope just reinforces that bias. The sheathing is tight, yet flexible, with a nice hand to it. The waterproofing performs as expected. Excellent for roped travel and running belays. With a rope this light there is no excuse not to travel without it.Impressed with this dynamic rope. I bought it for about $70. It is made in the USA so you know they don't cut too many corners when it comes to safety. Would recommend it to others! The rope is secure and strong. Great just incase anything happens while climbing, as a back up. I wouldn't use this to climb unless I had to because it is only 9mm thick. This is a half rope, you have to read in the fine print instead of it being labeled up front.
